AM Eyewear
Born in Byron Bay Australia, AM eyewear strove to make a high quality sunglass that could stand the test of time and be a style leader in the sunglasses world. Now in their fifth season, designer Simon Ponnusamy, laboriously worked on and perfected his idea of how a pair of sunnies should be.
All frames are hand made using AM’s trademark Italian scratch-resistant military grade APX nylon lenses with AR coating. They also only use the highest grades of Italian Cellulose acetates in the manufacturing of their plastic frames to ensure a more organic feel and better fit on the face.
The metal frames are plated nickel free to prevent allergies through chemical irritation and their use of French spring-loaded hinges makes scratched frames a thing of the past. Additionally word on the street is that you can open and close the frames 25,000 times!
Like the good guy he is, Ponnusamy calls every style after one of his mates thus ensuring he’ll still be a great guy after he makes his fortune in the eyewear world. These sunnies are butters and we look forward to more killer styles to come this summer.
